Government support drops to new low
The SVM coalition government’s popularity has fallen to its lowest point yet, at 31.8%, according to a Voxmeter poll for Ritzau with a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points. This marks a significant drop from the November 1, 2022 election results when the three parties collectively secured 50.1% of the vote. Since forming the government, all three parties – Social Democrats, Liberals, and Moderates – have experienced a decline in voter support. Despite strategies to strengthen their individual profiles and agendas during the summer of 2024, they have continued to lose voters, with the Social Democrats at 19.1%, the Liberals at 9.2%, and the Moderates at 3.5%, significantly lower than their election results.
