Economist impressed by stable unemployment levels
In Denmark, unemployment numbers remained largely unchanged, with a slight increase of 100 individuals from February to March according to the The Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment. Chief economist Tore Stramer from Danish Chamber of Commerce is surprised and impressed that unemployment hasn’t risen more in a stagnant economic period of over two years. Employment growth over recent years should be considered, suggesting that those facing unemployment have had favorable opportunities to find new jobs. Final unemployment figures for March will be released on April 19.
