Liberal Alliance Hits Record High in Voxmeter Poll
The Liberal Alliance has achieved a record high in opinion polls, now measuring at 13.6% and possibly becoming the second-largest party in the Folketing, according to Voxmeter’s survey. The party has shown a consistent rise in popularity since September 2022 when they were at 3.4%. At November’s parliamentary election, they garnered 7.9% of the vote with 14 seats. Pernille Vermund, founder and former chair of the Nye Borgerlige party, recently joined the Liberal Alliance, potentially contributing to the party’s growth. The poll was conducted over the past week, sampling 1069 voters. Currently, the left-wing parties together are predicted to have 51.6% of votes and 91 seats, while the governing parties have declined to 38.8%. The Social Democrats in particular see the largest drop among the three parties in the ruling coalition, from 27.5% and 50 seats at the election to now 22.7% and 40 seats.
