Politiken: The will to self-defense

While countries like Denmark have let their territorial defense – and the willingness of the population to defend – wither under the American security umbrella, Sweden and especially Finland have a completely different understanding and national defense tradition. They know that the best defense is a strong self-defense, and that the security struggle begins at home.
