Handyhand acquires cleaning platform Happy Helper

Cleaning platform Happy Helper has been purchased by Handyhand, a service connecting users with local handymen and women, which announced the acquisition in a press release. Happy Helper allows users to offer cleaning help, often to private households. Previously declared in reconstruction in April, Happy Helper’s takeover by Handyhand is viewed as the best outcome for creditors. Saxo Merrild Agdestein, CEO of Handyhand, will take over Happy Helper’s leadership and its former CEO, Dennis Forchhammer, will serve on the board. Agdestein shows respect for previous investors, offering them a chance to be part of the new structure after the takeover, despite the fact that the acquisition implies bankruptcy for Happy Helper, and consequently, a loss of investment for previous shareholders.
