Tanker en route to Russia in collision

The tanker MS Andromeda Star was involved in a collision in the narrow straits of the Øresund in early March, according to Danpilot, the Danish state pilot. The ship, known for traveling to Russian oil ports, collided with another vessel, MS Peace, on March 2, with no immediate signs of oil spillage or injuries. MS Andromeda Star was headed for Ust-Luga, Russia to load crude oil at the time of the incident. Both ships were asked by Danish authorities to anchor south of Amager following the collision. MS Andromeda Star is currently located near Munkebo at the Fayard shipyard, as indicated by the Automatic Identification System. The Danish Maritime Accident Investigation Board has closed its preliminary investigation, stating there’s no further need for inquiry due to limited consequences.
