New agreement boosts regional workers’ pay
A new collective agreement grants a staged 8.8 percent pay increase for Danish regional employees over two years, announced FOA chair Mona Striib and Heino Knudsen of Danish Regions. The increase is 5.81 percent for 2024 and 2.99 percent for 2025. The general wage rise is set at 4.45 percent starting April 2024. Additionally, regional employees will gain the ability to save 15 days of leave from April 2025. Fathers will receive three extra weeks of paid paternity leave, and pregnant employees are limited to one night shift weekly. Negotiations will continue to allocate funds from the tripartite agreement, impacting 110,000 covered regional employees.
