Democratic governors stand with Biden

Democratic governors continue to support President Joe Biden, says Maryland Governor Wes Moore following a crisis meeting. Despite 23 states having Democratic governors and Biden’s poor performance in a recent debate against former President Trump, they reassure their backing. New York Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed the unanimous support from all governors and the Washington D.C. mayor. Meanwhile, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz admits Biden’s debate shortcomings but maintains his fitness for presidency. Governors provided candid feedback at the White House meeting, some attending in person and others virtually. California Governor Gavin Newsom reaffirms his support on social media. White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre insists Biden isn’t considering dropping out of the race, despite calls from two House Democrats and lost support from Netflix cofounder Reed Hastings.
