Fugitive Sought – Five Get Life Sentences
On Tuesday, five men were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Østre Landsret for two murders and an attempted murder in Kalundborg in 2020. A sixth man, Ali El-Mir, who did not appear and has now been publicly sought by police, was found guilty in absentia after initially being acquitted in the lower court. The five convicts – Hicham Mojib, Danish Nadeem, Mehmet Simon Tüfekcioglu, and Ibrahim Mohammed Mala-Zade – received their sentences following a shooting incident as part of a conflict between the ‘Sydkystgruppen’ and the ‘Loyal To Familia’ gang. The Eastern High Court agreed with the lower court’s assessment. El-Mir attempted to leave Denmark last Friday, resulting in the revocation of his passport. The police warn the public against contacting El-Mir and advise calling authorities instead.
