Tax errors or fraud in 55% of Danish Anti-Dumping checks

The Danish Tax Agency found errors or fraud in 55% of inspections targeting social dumping in the first half of 2024, according to the Ministry of Taxation. These malpractices lead to the undermining of the competitiveness of Danish companies abiding by the rules, emphasizing the fight against social dumping stated by Tax Minister Rasmus Stoklund. A total of DKK 266 million in underpayments was reclaimed within that period, with a total of DKK 2.1 billion since 2019. Joint efforts involving the police and the Danish Working Environment Authority have primarily focused on building, service, and green space sectors across the country. Throughout 2023, over 3,300 inspections were conducted, with 1,900 instances of fraud detected, and the first half of 2024 saw around 1,700 inspections.
