Man charged for funding terror suspects

A 50-year-old man is charged with transferring funds to two young Swedes accused of bombings near the Israeli embassy before the attacks occurred. The Swedish suspects, a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old, were arrested in Copenhagen and are being charged under Denmark’s terror laws. The older man’s pre-trial detention has been extended until November 27. The suspects allegedly used the money to purchase an electric scooter for their travel to the crime scene. The explosions, which did not injure anyone, happened on October 2 and the grenades landed on a residential building’s terrace close to the embassy. A further court session is scheduled for November 7 to consider the charges of terrorism against the Swedish youths. The public has been unaware of the police’s suspicion against the man due to closed-door court proceedings.
