Copenhagen evacuates two planes following bomb threat
Two passenger planes bound for Stavanger in Norway from Copenhagen had to turn back on Thursday afternoon due to a bomb threat. On landing at Copenhagen Airport, passengers from both aircrafts were evacuated. The airport confirmed that a flight headed to Stavanger returned to Copenhagen due to a suspected bomb threat and stated that cooperation with relevant authorities was underway and all passengers had been evacuated. Copenhagen Police later declared the investigation ended around 1 a.m. on Friday, as both aircraft had been checked with no suspicious objects found. According to Norwegian newspaper VG, the incident involved a Norwegian plane followed by a SAS plane. The threat was so vague that the second plane was also asked to return for safety reasons. Passengers reported a calm atmosphere and were only informed of the reason for the return after landing. Both airlines have confirmed the bomb threat incident.
