Greenland’s premier short meeting with Danish King

Greenland’s Premier, Muté B. Egede, spent less than an hour with King Frederik at Amalienborg Palace, leaving 40 minutes later without addressing the press. The content of Wednesday’s meeting is unknown, but on Thursday, Egede is hosting a New Year’s reception in Copenhagen. Initially scheduled for 10 AM, the meeting was postponed to 2 PM due to ‘pure calendar gymnastics’ without further detail. This rescheduling coincided with Donald Trump Jr.’s visit to Greenland, but Egede denied any political reasons for the change, attributing it solely to scheduling conflicts.
