Correspondent joins B.T. amid TV 2 conflict

Jotam Confino, who has recently criticized TV 2 for dismissing him in an unworthy fashion, has landed a new role as Middle East correspondent for the news site B.T., starting next week. TV 2 replaced Confino with journalist Rasmus Tantholdt, causing dissatisfaction from Confino, who worked as a freelancer at TV 2. He expressed feeling abandoned by TV 2 during his time of need and criticized being discarded after his dedicated work. Confino, who according to media magazine Journalisten also contributes as a freelance correspondent for CBS News, has been active on social media, responding to critiques alleging pro-Israel bias in his reporting. On the Q&CO podcast, Nielsen supported Confino’s social media presence, while Confino said he intends to limit his engagement on social platforms for his mental well-being.
