Defense ministry criticized for procurement chaos

The Danish National Audit Office has expressed sharp criticism of the Ministry of Defense for not completing equipment acquisitions on time. Delays can lead to the Defense being unable to perform specific tasks or being forced to use worn-out equipment. The criticism pertains to 20 acquisitions worth 11 billion Danish kroner from 2018 to 2023. The National Audit Office investigated the matter, followed by the critical remarks from the Auditor General. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen acknowledges the significant criticism and admits the unsatisfactory nature of the equipment procurement processes.
