Start date for Prince Christian’s conscription

Prince Christian of Denmark is set to begin his conscription at Antvorskov Barracks in Slagelse with the Guard Hussar Regiment on February 3, reports Colonel Jørn Christensen. The Colonel expressed positive anticipation for the increased focus on the regiment, which he believes will positively impact soldier production. The four-month service is expected to prepare Prince Christian for his future role as Denmark’s monarch. The military training can provide valuable insights into the harshness of the world. Mayor Knud Vincents of Slagelse also expressed enthusiasm for the Prince’s decision. The Danish royal family has a tradition of serving in the military. Prince Christian recently spent time in Africa, engaging in farm operation and learning about local conservation.
