Boeing’s leadership is sentenced to meet the relatives of 737-Max crash victims, resulting from a court submission in the US, as per Reuters. They must acknowledge guilt and may have to compensate the bereaved. Boeing also faces a $243.6 million fine. After violating a 2021 settlement in May, Boeing was reproached, risking future US government contracts but avoiding further litigation. They are mandated to invest $455 million over three years to enhance safety and compliance, under departmental supervision. Boeing admitted to misleading the FAA about software crucial to the crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia, which killed 346 people.
