Danish PM condemns Iranian attack on Israel

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen strongly condemns the violent Iranian attack on Israel, which increases the risk of a larger conflict in the Middle East. She expresses solidarity with those who feared for their safety overnight. The Foreign Ministry advises Danes in the region to follow its recommendations and continues to discourage all non-essential travel to Israel and advises against all travel to Gaza, Lebanon, and Syrian border areas. The Revolutionary Guard launched drones and missiles at Israel in retaliation for an alleged Israeli attack on an Iranian consulate in Syria. Israel’s military reports that 99 percent of over 300 drones and missiles were intercepted. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen also condemned the attack, calling for restraint and de-escalation of the situation. Iran warns Israel against retaliation, stating that their response would surpass the military action that night.
