Europe’s largest nuclear reactor, Olkiluoto 3 located in Finland, resumed operation on Wednesday, according to TVO, the Finnish company in charge of operations. Olkiluoto 3 closed over the weekend due to a technical glitch. “We have resumed production,” TVO spokeswoman Johanna Aho said. The reactor was put back into production after midnight and is expected to reach full power by the end of Wednesday. The company has previously stated that the reason for the stop was an error in the temperature measurement. This, according to the company, had “no impact on nuclear safety”. The reactor, Olkiluoto 3, is a next-generation EPR-type pressurised water reactor. /ritzau/
