FM Løkke Rasmussen: OSCE

Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen feels that he and other OSCE representatives on Thursday have sent an unambiguous signal to Russia. “I have experienced a Russia that has been completely isolated at today’s OSCE meeting. They must sit with a great sense of loneliness, and (Ed: Russia’s Foreign Minister) Sergei Lavrov  must sit and think in his quiet mind,” Løkke Rasmussen told Ritzau from the annual meeting of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Løkke Rasmussen was the next speaker after Lavrov, but the Russian chose to leave his chair immediately after his speech. “He left. That in itself is a signal of where Russia is at the moment. Their participation at foreign minister level is limited to coming when you have the floor, firing off conspiracy theories and then just walking out. It’s quite sad to witness,” Løkke Rasmussen said. /ritzau/
