Foreign Ministry & Lars Løkke duped in interview
There may have been greater forces at work than just two Russian comedians when Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen was fooled last week, according to Ukraine’s ambassador to Denmark, Mykhailo Vydoinyk. A video circulated Friday on the Internet in which Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen holds a video meeting with what he and the Foreign Ministry thought was Moussa Faki, Commission President of the African Union. But in reality, the foreign minister was talking to a Russian man.
Behind the scam are the two comedians Vovan and Lexus, and the Ukrainian ambassador suspects them. However, he says that he personally has no evidence of this. “But when you take into account previous attempts and successful attempts to do this, I do not rule out that they work closely with the Russian FSB (Ed: Federal Security Bureau) or other services,” the ambassador told Ritzau.
