The number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7 has been revised upwards, passing 25,000. On Sunday, the health ministry in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll stands at 25,105. The health ministry in the war-torn area is controlled by the terror-listed Palestinian group Hamas, which has been at war with Israel since October 7. In addition to the 25,105 killed, 62,681 Palestinians have been injured in the Hamas-Israel war. The figures from the Gaza Strip’s Ministry of Health have not been independently verified. In the past day, 178 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip, while 293 have been wounded. According to a UN report released earlier this week, it is estimated that 70 percent of those killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7 are women and children. /ritzau/Reuters
