The Gaza Health Ministry said on Tuesday that about 3,000 people had been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7, Reuters reports. Another 61 Palestinians in the West Bank have lost their lives, the ministry said. The ministry is controlled by Hamas. The death toll as of Tuesday afternoon was not confirmed by independent sources. In addition, 12,500 Palestinians are reported to have been wounded in Gaza and 1,250 wounded in the West Bank. Again, these figures have not been independently verified. /ritzau/
