Gazprom
Russia’s state-owned energy company Gazprom had a drop in after-tax profits of over 40 percent in 2022, earning around 108 billion Danish kroner, Gazprom said on Tuesday. Gazprom attributes the reduced profits to tax increases in the second half of 2022. The West imposed sanctions on Russia and state companies last year. However, gas has not been directly sanctioned. But the company almost halved its export volume to 101 billion cubic meters last year. Shares in the company have fallen by about four percent. /ritzau/Reuters/
