Holland, shooting

A student is suspected of killing a 14-year-old girl, her 39-year-old mother and a 46-year-old male teacher in Rotterdam Thursday, according to Dutch. A 32-year-old man from Rotterdam is suspected of being behind the three killings in two separate shootings in the Dutch port city. One of Thursday’s shootings took place near the suspect’s own home. There, he is alleged to have shot and killed his 39-year-old neighbor and her 14-year-old daughter. Both died Thursday night from their injuries. Immediately afterwards, the suspect is said to have been behind a shooting at Erasmus University Medical Center, a large teaching hospital. The suspect, himself a student at the university hospital, is believed to have shot dead a 46-year-old teacher. Police said Thursday night that it was not yet clear what the motive behind the shootings was. Police believe the man acted alone. The alleged perpetrator was arrested at 4.20pm on Thursday/ritzau/
