In February, for three years in a row, the Danish Council on Climate Change – the government’s own climate watchdog – flunked the government’s climate policy because the Council does not believe that Denmark will reach the climate goals for 2025 and 2030. The Climate Council’s conclusion next February is already known. The status is that new reductions of just over five million tons of CO2 must still be found if the 2030 target is to be reached. It looks like flunking for the fourth time.
