Man remanded for spraying corrosive liquid

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with exposing several girls to corrosive liquid in a shop in Horsens, according to the Southeast Jutland Police in a press release. In all cases, the liquid etched holes in the girls’ clothes. In two of the cases, the girls received the fluid on their skin. The incidents happened on October 27, November 6 and November 25, police said. The man appeared in a remand hearing on Wednesday morning, when a judge ordered that he be remanded in custody until December 20, the Southeast Jutland Police wrote on X. He has already confessed to exposing the girls to the fluid. The police investigation does not immediately indicate that the episode was due to a hate crime or terrorism. /ritzau/
