McDonald’s and Burger King targets of pest attacks

McDonald’s and Burger King-restaurants have been  targets of unusual attacks over the past week – mice and rats have been lobbed into their restaurants. The first case was on Wednesday at a McDonald’s in Odense on Funen. Since then, animals have been thrown into restaurants in Glostrup and Slagelse – where Burger King was also hit. Gross vandalism has also taken place against a McDonald’s restaurant in Tilst near Aarhus. In Odense, a video was shared on social media. Above the video the headline call: “Boycott MCD/ISRAEL” and “Rats in MCD in front of Vollsmose”. There is also an emoji of a Palestinian flag and a hand making peace signs.
Denmark is not the only country to experience a pest attack. In England, something similar has taken place with media reporting how a man has unleashed rats in a McDonald’s restaurant in Birmingham while shouting “Free Palestine”. /Ritzau/Scanpix/
