Mercedes reported to Police
Mercedes-Benz Denmark has been reported to the police by the Consumer Ombudsman because the company has allegedly violated the Danish Marketing Practices Act. The Consumer Ombudsman has had a look at the car brand’s Danish website, where Mercedes has marketed itself as being “certified environmentally friendly”. At the same time, Mercedes has claimed to be part of the “green revolution” and that car production is CO2 neutral, citing the use of renewable energy in the factories. In the eyes of the Consumer Ombudsman, it therefore appears that Mercedes cars are less environmentally harmful than they really are – and that they are less environmentally harmful than their competitors. /ritzau/
