Minor clash in N. Gaza

A number of Israeli soldiers have been lightly injured in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, where they were attacked by Hamas, according to the Israeli military (IDF) on Tuesday. In a post on social media X, the IDF accuses the militant Palestinian movement of breaking the ceasefire. Conversely, Hamas accuses Israel of having attacked first, according to the newspaper Times of Israel. A spokesperson for Hamas’ armed wing says that the group’s fighters responded to a “clear violation” of the ceasefire from the Israeli side. This led to a clash, the spokesperson said. According to the Israeli military, three bombs were detonated in two places adjacent to Israeli soldiers in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
