MPs urged to get control of their dogs

Politicians must keep their dogs in their offices if they take them to work at Christiansborg, according to Folketing Chairman Søren Gade in an email to all Folketing members, according to Berlingske, after loose dogs in the corridors caused nervousness among some. “I would like to emphasise that if you take your dog to work, you must make sure to keep it in your office. It must not roam freely,” he wrote. “If this is not complied with, you will not be able to bring your dog to Christiansborg in the future.” The email was first described by Politiken earlier this week. Party leaders such as Inger Støjberg (Denmark Democrats) and Søren Pape (Conservatives) are among those who have brought their dogs to work. So has the chairman of the Danish People’s Party, Morten Messerschmidt. /ritzau/
