NB party members refusing to close party
A number of NB (Nye Borgerlige) members are refusing to let the party die, as party founder, Pernille Vermund, wants to do. On Saturday, the party’s branch in Hillerød will gather as many members as possible to discuss plans to continue to run the party. DR has spoken to the local chairman in Hillerød, Mikael Einspor, who says that 75 guests are due to come to the meeting so far. Einspor declined to indicate what roles these guests play in the party. There are, however, said to be “quite a few” local chairmen who disagree with Vermund that will attend. There are currently 35 local government councillors across the country who remain on the party’s site, and who cannot be forcibly removed from their mandate. /ritzau/
