Police are patrolling a Christian neighbourhood in Pakistan after hundreds fled a Muslim mob ravaging streets over alleged blasphemy, according to AFP. Homes and churches were burned and searched by a group of several hundred on Wednesday in the streets of Jaranwala, on the outskirts of the industrial city of Faisalabad. Authorities have previously said they were looking for two Christian brothers who had desecrated the Koran. A minister in Punjab province, Moshi Naqvi, said late on Thursday that the “main accused” had been apprehended, without giving further details. Police say more than 120 people have been arrested in connection with the violent incidents. /ritzau/AFP/
