All eight people have been rescued after being stuck on a cable car in a cabin lift dangling at an altitude of almost 300 metres above a valley in Pakistan, according to the acting interior minister of Pakistan, Reuters reports. The critical situation went on for more than half a day. First, a rescue mission by helicopter was launched. Searchlights were then put up and the rescue operation continued from the ground, a security source told Reuters. Experts were sent to the area, and Pakistani authorities tried to rescue the children one by one by hooking a smaller lift or seat on the cable, Reuters reported. /ritzau/
