Police point to gang violence in Christiania murder

There is currently a violent conflict between the Hells Angels and the banned Loyal To Familia (LTF) gang, according to a conflict memo from the police in the wake of the murder of a 30-year-old man in Christiania on Saturday, TV 2 and B.T. wrote early Monday morning. Ritzau has since come into possession of the memo. According to both media outlets, the 30-year-old victim was a probationary member of the Hells Angels.
The National Special Crime Unit (NSK), which prepared the memo, continuously monitors the gang environment. “It is NSK’s assessment that LTF Loyal to Familia BGP and Hells Angels MC have used firearms or weapons or explosives as part of the conflict which, due to their highly hazardous nature, are likely to cause significant damage,” the unit writes. “NSK further assesses that Hells Angels MC has been behind one or more violent incidents of this nature directed against LTF Loyal to Familia BGP and that LTF Loyal to Familia BGP has similarly been behind one or more violent incidents of this nature directed against Hells Angels MC.”
The killing on Saturday took place when two masked assailants entered the Starship building. There, they fired shots at several people who were hit. An 18-year-old man was remanded in custody in the case after a preliminary hearing on Sunday. He has pleaded not guilty. /ritzau/
