President Vladimir Putin offered his condolences to Yevgeny Prigozhin’s family and said he was a talented businessman. “I have known Prigozhin since the early 1990s,” Putin said, adding that the results of the investigators’ efforts would have to be awaited. “Prigozhin had a complicated fate. He made serious mistakes, but he also achieved the necessary results for himself – and also, when I asked him, for the common cause,” Putin said in a televised statement adding that the investigations would take time. Putin remained silent for nearly a day after the plane crash on Wednesday night.
