Several hundred members of the private Russian army Wagner Group have returned to eastern Ukraine, where they are fighting on the Russian side. However, it has no decisive impact on the battlefield, a spokesman for Ukraine’s military said. “We have recorded the presence of no more than several hundred fighters from the former Wagner,” spokesman Serhiy Cherevatyj said. He adds that they are spread out over several areas and that they are not part of a single unit. “They do not constitute an integrated, systematic and organized force,” the spokesman said. /ritzau/Reuters
