Ryanair

In Ryanair’s last financial year, revenue more than doubled to approximately DKK 80 billion, according to figures from the annual accounts that ran until April. Profit rose to just over ten billion kroner. In comparison, Ryanair lost DKK 1.8 billion the year before. One of the reasons Ryanair has been so effective in putting the pandemic behind it, is that it did not lay off its employees like many competitors did. “Instead of firing the employees, they were reduced in salary. It turned out to be a very good decision,” says Jacob Pedersen, Head of Equity Research at Sydbank. /ritzau/
