South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae-myung was stabbed in the left side of the neck during a press briefing in the southern city of Busan on Tuesday local time, according to the South Korean news agency Yonhap. Lee was immediately admitted to hospital and the assailant immediately arrested. It is unclear what weapon was used to carry out the attack. According to the report the attacker is a man in his 50s or 60s. He approached Lee and asked for an autograph, then quickly moved forward and attacked the politician. Lee was reported at 05:30 on Tuesday morning Danish time to be out of danger. The politician was first treated at Pusan National University Hospital before being transported by helicopter to the capital Seoul. /ritzau/ Yonhap/
