Tax Authority calculation error costs up to 80 million

A few simple input errors will probably end up costing the Treasury up to 80 million kroner, according to a briefing from Tax Minister Jeppe Bruus  to the parliamentary Tax Committee, according to Børsen. Here it appears that an error has occurred when the Danish Tax Agency had to enter the interest rate that is added to the residual tax of citizens who have paid too little tax in 2022. Therefore, 0.5 percentage points have been undercharged. This corresponds to DKK 58 million here and now. The amount is expected to increase by a further DKK 22 million as the existing annual statements for 2022 are recalculated. /ritzau/
