Three charged with vandalism at fast food restaurants
The South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police have charged three people with gross vandalism after rats, mice and cockroaches were unleashed at Burger King and McDonald’s in Slagelse, the police wrote in their daily report. They three, a 17-year-old, a 20-year-old and a 28-year-old man, are all from the Slagelse area.
It was November 4 that Burger King and McDonald’s in Slagelse were vandalized with the pests. Something similar has happened at McDonald’s in Glostrup and Odense and abroad. McDonald’s in Tilst also experienced several of the restaurant’s windows being smashed in early November. At least one of the cases is linked to the current acts of war in the Middle East. According to several media outlets, a video has been shown on social media, which apparently can be linked to the incident in Odense, where rats are thrown into the site. Above the video is “Boycott MCD/Israel”, as well as a Palestinian flag and a hand making peace signs. /ritzau/
