Two arrested in Parliament

Two people were arrested Thursday after they disrupted a meeting in Parliament’s chamber, Duty Officer Stefan Ladeby, told Ekstra Bladet. The two protesters unfurled the Palestinian flag from the balcony, where guests can attend meetings of Parliament. Subsequently, Speaker of the House Søren Gade, announced that there would be a break of ten minutes. The parliamentary TV channel showed that at the time, independent MP Lars Boje Mathiesen was on the rostrum when Speaker Gade rang the bell and postponed the meeting because of the demonstration. /ritzau/
