Two children kidnapped New Year’s Eve

Two children were forced into a car near Gråsten on New Year’s Eve. Prior to that, their father – a 49-year-old man – had been assaulted, according to the South and South Jutland Police in a press release. Media in Germany and Denmark have previously reported on the family’s relationship due to disagreements between the parents over custody. The police have launched a search for the children and kidnappers and are in dialogue with German police. The main focus of the police is to find the children, get them to safety and make sure they are well. They are a 10-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. Police are also looking for two German-registered cars, a Citroën DS7 Crossback with registration number DNAV 9551 and a Mercedes A-Class with registration number WIW 6481 E. /ritzau/
