The United States is to reopen four legal border crossings between the United States and Mexico today due to numbers trying to cross into America falling, according to a senior US official during a virtual meeting with journalists, according to Reuters. The reopening applies to the crossing in the city of Eagle Pass in Texas, two crossings in Arizona and one near San Diego in California. In December, U.S. border officials struggled to process the arrivals of the many migrants coming to the country from Mexico. According to former officials, a record was set when nearly 11,000 migrants were detained at the border on a single day. /ritzau/
