U.S. attack in Yemen Tuesday

The U.S. military has carried out a new attack in Yemen against ballistic missiles used by the Houthis in attacks on merchant ships, two unnamed US officials told Reuters. The attack is the latest against the Iran-backed rebel group, which has targeted ships in the Red Sea. Reuters sources, who wished to remain anonymous, said the U.S. strike targeted four missiles intended to hit large ships. The Houthis attacks and U.S. and UK counterattacks on the group have raised concerns in the region that the war between Hamas and Israel could expand into a major armed conflict.
