Ukraine/Russia
Ukraine and Russia announced on Wednesday that they had agreed on their first exchange of prisoners in nearly five months. This means that more than 200 prisoners from each side will be released, according to Reuters. Russia’s Defence Ministry said Ukraine had handed over 248 people from the Russian military and Ukraine said it had secured the 230 people brought home. Of these, 224 are soldiers and six are civilians. According to Reuters, it is the largest prisoner exchange so far in the war. /ritzau/
