North Korea has equipped Russia with ballistic missiles and launchers that have been used recently in attacks on Ukraine, the White House said in a statement. “This is a significant and troubling escalation,” said John Kirby, White House national security adviser. Several ballistic missiles were fired during a large-scale attack on Ukraine on Tuesday, he said. And on December 30, a ballistic missile landed in a field in the Zaporizhzhya region of southern Ukraine. The White House believes this is a violation of UN sanctions against North Korea and will take the matter to the UN Security Council. In total, nearly 100 missiles were launched against Ukraine on Tuesday. It is unknown how many of them, according to US information, were ballistic missiles supplied by North Korea.
