A member of UNIFIL was slightly injured and his condition is stable UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon, UNIFIL, was wounded when shells hit the force’s base near the Israeli-Lebanon border. UNIFIL announced on Sunday. The base that was hit is located near the village of Houla. A grenade struck around 10 p.m. local time on Saturday night. It is not clear from UNIFIL’s announcement where the grenade was fired from. The wounded man, who was slightly injured but stable was immediately evacuated for medical treatment, UNIFIL said. He was slightly injured and his condition is stable. The day before, one of UNIFIL’s other bases in the city of Naqoura was damaged by a grenade that didn’t explode, and no-one was hurt. /ritzau/
