Pope Francis has cancelled his attendance at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai, the Vatican says in a statement, according to Reuters. The cancellation comes as a result of the advice of the Pope’s doctor. “Although the Holy Father’s overall health has improved with respect to his flu-like illness and inflammation of the respiratory tract, doctors have asked the Pope not to go on the planned trip to Dubai in the coming days,” Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said in the statement. /ritzau/
