West Bank

A total of nine Palestinians were killed on Wednesday in two areas of the occupied West Bank, according to Reuters. In one attack, Israel’s military (IDF) said on Wednesday morning that its forces had eliminated a “terror cell” in an aerial attack on the Balata refugee camp, located in the Israeli-occupied city of Nablus in the West Bank. The military said in a statement that it killed Abdullah Abu-Shalal, who Israel said was the “head of the terror infrastructure” in the area. A total of five people have been killed in Balata, Israel said.     According to the Israeli military, Abu-Shalal was planning an imminent and large-scale terrorist attack along with others from the alleged terror cell. An unidentified body has arrived at the Rafidia state hospital in Nablus after Israeli forces bombed a vehicle near the Balata area, the Palestinian Health Ministry said. /ritzau/
